KW customer racing teams got an huge success on Mount Panorama

At the 12h race at the famous Bathurst race track in Australia the Porsche customer teams were very successful. In addition to several classics for the Porsche teams, the 911 GT3 R from Competition Motorsports with Porsche factory driver Patrick Long, Porsche junior Matt Campbell, Marc Lieb and David Calvert-Jones drove to second place after playing catch-up.

The start of the 2017 motorsports season has already been very successful for our KW Competition customers after three long-distance endurance races: Herberth Motorsport celebrated the overall victory on the 911 GT3 R in Dubai, Alegra Motorsports won the class GTD in Daytona and the factory GT3 R equipped with KW competition racing gear finished second in the overall classification as well as the class victory in the class A-GT3 Pro-Am.

PROsport Performance also celebrated a class victory in Australia. “A great result for us,” enthused Teamchef Chris Esser. “Apart from a smaller problem with the brakes, our car has run like an clockwork. All four drivers have done a great job. ”

With their Porsche Cayman PRO4, the driver quartet Jörg Viebhan, Max Braams, Nicolaj Moller Madsen and Harrison Jones even drove to the 23rd overall ranking. The second Cayman of the team unfortunately could not start after an accident in the qualifying.
