ADAC TOTAL 24h Race Nürburgring 2021: 61 cars will start with our KW suspension in the Green Hell

On the coming extended weekend, from June 3 to June 6, 2021, the world of motorsports focuses its attention on the Eifel (region in Germany close to the Belgium Border). In addition to the RCN, FIA WTCR, the Tourenwagen Legenden and the ADAC 24h Classic, the 49th ADAC TOTAL 24h Race will also take place.

We equip in total 61 of 125 race cars entered in the 49th ADAC TOTAL 24h Race 2021 (June 3 to 6, 2021). Therefore, we are once again the manufacturer equipping the most vehicles with its suspensions at the world’s toughest racetrack.

By the way, did you know that we have been supplying our KW Competition racing suspensions directly to various customer racing programs in the automotive industry for years?

These customer racing programs include among others the Mercedes-AMG GT4, Porsche 911 GT3 R, Porsche Cayman GT4 CS and Toyota GR GT4 Supra.

Depending on the regulations, KW suspensions dispose of a 2-way, 3-way, 4-way and 5-way adjustable damper technology. For this reason, many BMW M6 GT3, KTM X-BOW GT4 teams and numerous other participants rely on KW’s suspension technology on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

In recent times, KW motorsport customers such as Manthey-Racing and Rowe-Racing have already won the 24h race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife seven times. Moreover, they have already triumphed at innumerable class races.

The fans of the awesome endurance race in the Eifel are mainly attracted by the different vehicles on the track, the majority of which have confidence in KW suspensions.

At the ADAC Total 24h Race 2020, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus also celebrated a class victory (SP-X) with its prototype race car

There is hardly an endurance race where, in addition to so many GT3 race cars, prototype cars such as the SCG004 of the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, several production class cars such as the BMW 325i, BMW 330i, VW Golf VI and even cult vehicles such as an Opel Manta are on the track at the same time.

Thanks to the organizer’s elaborate hygiene and infection control concept and the current incidence rate in times of the COVID 19 pandemic, up to 10,000 spectators are allowed to come to the Nürburgring to watch the 49th ADAC Total 24h Race in selected grandstand seats.

Of course, the ADAC Total 24h Race 2021 will again be streamed on YouTube via a German- and English-language livestream. The entire 24h Race will also be shown live on the German TV channel NITRO.

One of the favored cars of KW customers at the 49th ADAC TOTAL 24h Race from June 3 to 6, 2021 are clearly the Porsche 911 GT3 R and BMW M6 GT3 with up to 550 hp that will take part in the SP9 class for teams such as Falken Motorsport, Frikadelli Racing, Huber Motorsport, Manthey-Racing, Rowe Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport and others.

Numerous factory drivers and overall winners of the endurance classic will be in the cockpit, for instance Nicky Catsburg, Nick Yelloly, Nick Tandy, Frédéric Makowiecki, Romain Dumas, Matt Campbell, Earl Bamber and many others. You can never be sure who will win the race in the Green Hell in the end.
