The purpose of compression stage damping in a car suspension supports the body structure and regulates the spring and the damper itself. Depending on the dialed setup you have the ability to influence the body roll and handling via the adjusted compression stage level.
With twelve clicks the adjustment can be dialed in the low-speed range of the compression damping speed and independently with 16 clicks in low-speed range of rebound damping (piston rod velocity); the high-speed compression stage valves are already preconfigured and can’t be dialed further by the driver. Especially the high-speed compression forces influence the ride comfort.

If this so-called high vertical wheel acceleration happens, the pre-configured high-speed compression stage valves will open totally, and the wheel can immerse by driving over cross joints or corrugations. Through our damper technology you still have a harmonic dampening and ride sporty.

Separate from the adjustment of the compression forces the KW Variant 3 is also adjustable in the low-speed range of the rebound damping forces. The adjustment is always direct at the piston rod with 16 clicks. If the rebound valves are opened, the ride comfort increases; if they are closed, the handling becomes more direct.

Similar to the compression valves, the rebound valving is also built with low- and high-speed valves. Only at high traction stage forces, the damper fluid flows through the high-speed main valve.
