In this months Performance Volkswagen Magazine, Garage Midnight‘s high power track MK5 Golf gets upgraded to KW Clubsport suspension.
The KW Clubsport suspension is aimed at track day enthusiasts who wish to still be able to drive their car on the street with relative comfort while having pin sharp handling and a suspension that can handle semi-slick tyres on the track.
Garage Midnight’s BTCC bodied Golf features monthly in PVW’s Rcars section, recently receiving a heavily strengthened chassis and full FIA BTCC spec roll cage, Ryan intends to drive the car to the track too.
This lead to the decision to upgrade to a more track orientated suspension system, and KW’s Clubsport system fits the bill perfectly.
The PVW article features an interview with KW’s own Richard Good, plus a great insight into what comes with your new KW suspension kit. With individual bump and compression damping control, the KW clubsport allows for individual track and road setups while the camber adjustable top mounts make the most of semi-slick tyres.
This car is due for a complete overhaul in the coming months and we will be following this build closely, so look out for it on the blog in the future!
