Set in the picturesque hill top location, HG Motorsports opened it’s doors in Southern California’s San Diego.
A long-standing KW customer, HG Motorsport are devoted to “German Engineering” and the workshop features finely fettled German machinery of all kinds, plus Japanese import models.
Owner Dieter-Heinz Kijoras has a special place in his heart for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Over 50 years ago his grandfather Heinz Giez was drawn to the United States in order to pave the way for the team of Max Hoffmann, Mercedes-Benz, in North America. Later, “HG” became chief mechanic at Augie Pabst Racing famous for, among other things, the legendary “gullwing” (300 sl).
By moving to San Diego and with the construction of the first Mercedes-Benz dealership in Southern California the early foundations were laid for HG Motorsports.
Today HG Motorsports focus on sporting performance upgrades – which alongside classics and current sports cars such as the BMW M4,
more and more Japanese performance models are making an appearance in the workshop.
“Heinz Giez Motorsports” was founded as a pure racing team in early 2004. Present managing and grandson Dieter-Heinz Kojira began his racing career competing successfully in Mitsubishi Evos.
