In 2012 KW Automotive launched its DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) range of coilovers – a revolutionary technology that allows the damping characteristics to be adjusted at the touch of a button or, when combined with the ECU W-LAN module, individual adjustment through a smartphone app. In 2013 KW is hugely proud to expand this technology even further by including all Android smartphones alongside Apple devices including the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
The KW DDC suspension is based on our inox-line coilover with the addition of an electronic damping control unit. Once paired to an Android/Apple device, the DDC app allows up to five individual setups to be programmed which can even be shared via e-mail! In addition to the standard damping settings (Comfort, Normal and Sport), the DDC app also allows each coilover to be individually set with a variable of 0% (maximum comfort) and 100% (maximum sport). With the settings transferred in milliseconds, you’ll instantly notice the difference!
The KW DDC update is available easily via the Apple App store or the Google Play store and will be completed, depending on your Internet connection, within a few minutes. The new App for Android user will already be available at the Essen Motor Show.
