Now the KW DDC plug&play coilover kit is also available for all Seat Leon ST models with the adaptive DCC suspension control (Dynamic Chassis Control), which is an integral part of the standard equipment on select Seat models, such as the Leon Cupra, or it can already be ordered as an option when buying a new car.

The great advantage of KW DDC Technology: While with other aftermarket suspensions, the electronic damping control has to be deactivated, this is not the case with DDC plug&play coilovers. “When installing the KW DDC coilover kit, the series struts are simply replaced by the KW struts made of stainless steel”, explains KW Product Manager Johannes Wacker. “Afterwards, each damper is connected with the Seat – board electronics via the compatible plug-in connection.” No further installation steps are necessary.

Within milliseconds, the characteristics of the KW DDC plug&play coilover kit adapts to the current driving conditions. With only one push on the series button, the Leon ST Cupra that was upgraded with a DDC plug&play coilover kit, drives completely different. Also for the station wagon version of the Seat Leon Cupra, the functions of the “Cupra Drive” remain, which allows the driver to customize the ride in many ways.

Via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoid thread at the stainless steel strut and the rear-axle height adjustment, the Seat Leon can be varied in ground clearance by the millimeter. The tested adjustment range allows a continuous lowering of 15 to 45 mm on the drive axle and 10 to 35 millimeter at the rear axle. Even with the maximum lowering, a balanced remaining comfort is given with the KW DDC plug&play coilovers.
