More than one idea ahead is ST suspensions with the current Ford Focus RS. The suspension manufacturer developed the first suspension components for an increase in performance on the street.
With it’s engine from the current Ford Mustang, a revised 2,3-liter-turbo four cylinder with 350 hp, the new Ford Focus RS ensures a lot of driving pleasure in all life situations.
It gets even more enjoyable for the Focus RS that is available for the first time with all-wheel drive by adding the progressive ST Suspensions springs.
It doesn’t matter if the Ford is in “Normal”, “Sport”, “Track” or “Drift” driving mode. While the adaptive OE dampers only ensure a further plus of driving dynamics in the mode “Track”, the ST springs increase the handling characteristics of the Focus RS in all driving modes.
The Ford steers in more precise and already low nodding and rocking behavior is further reduced from the factory. Besides that, the lowering of 20 mm on the front axle and 20 mm on the rear axle ensures a more sporty appearance.
The OEM quality ST sport springs manufactured from chrome-silicon steel in cold-winding process are multiple coated and have a final epoxide coating.
The ST suspensions springs are already available. ST Suspensions is currently testing different suspension applications. For example, the adjustable ST XTA coilover kit with aluminum Unibal top mounts for the Ford Focus RS.
Shortly, the new ST DZX wheel spacers will be available for the Ford Focus RS. Further information at www.st-suspensions.net
