Nordschleife und Strycek approved: KW equipped Kissling Opel Astra TCR

Kissling Motorsport now also has the Opel Astra TCR on the grid for endurance racing. Besides the many season successes in the international TCR sprint racing series, the Astra TCR also triumphed during the planned endurance tests with enhanced vehicle parts. The Astra once again took top place in the TCR class for customer teams and demonstrated its qualities in the eighth round at the VLN Endurance Championship.

Besides the fast Finn Hannu Loustarinen, Ex-DTM Champion and OPC Director Volker Strycek accompanied the successful test for the endurance components as the racing driver and test driver: “as a TCR class winner and 20th in the overall ranking out of 158 vehicles, finishing ahead of many super sports cars, this clearly demonstrates the potential of the Astra TCR and the development work by Kissling Motorsport. We have developed the new M5 Racing ABS for touring car racing with Bosch, which works sensationally for the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Our KW chassis can also be tuned
perfectly to the Nürburgring Nordschleife’s conditions. The 77 bends, 300 metres elevations, variety of asphalt qualities and changeable weather conditions on the longest and toughest track alone provide unique opportunities for testing. Which is why the Nordschleife test under racing conditions is incredibly important for motorsports development,” Volker Strycek summarises the successful test work by the team from Kissling Motorsport.

“The results on the Nürburgring at the moment show us that we have done our homework,” sums up Stefan Kissling. “And our customers can look forward to a great racing car”.
