New for 2014, KW automotive is hugely excited to offer a Variant 1 coilover for the Mitsubishi Evo 7/8/9 platform. With power ranging from 280bhp right up to 360bhp (in standard trim!) the Mitsubishi Evo is one of Japan’s fastest saloons ever produced, boasting 4WD and a hugely successful rallying heritage. What’s more, with the right suspension upgrade there’s plenty of performance yet to be unleashed!

The Variant 1 coilover system offers the ultimate solution for those owners looking to improve performance without compromising the OEM ride quality. This has been achieved thanks to KW’s experienced engineers who pre-set the V1’s dampening from the factory giving the best balance between sporty driving, comfort and safety. All that remains is for the user to adjust the ride height (between 25-45mm on Evo 7 models, 25-50mm Evo 8/9 models) to the desired level without worrying about adverse effect to the handling.

The KW inox-line undergoes the most vigorous testing possible to ensure the longevity of every kit. In co-operation with the University of Esslingen, a salt spray was applied for over 480 hours on our inox-line coilovers to mimic environmental issues such as salt water and corrosion. Every key component including the piston rod, spring strut and adjustable spring collar remained rust and corrosion free unlike rival coilovers tested – a true testament to the quality of KW coilovers.
