The Belgian BMW team WRT made a statement with its two BMW M4 GT3 EVO cars and celebrated a double victory — the perfect crowning achievement of the Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy.

The BMW M4 GT3 EVO #669 won the 24‑hour race in the desert with a one‑lap lead over its sister car (#27). The #669 was piloted by the five drivers Jordan Pepper, Kelvin van der Linde, Ben Tuck, Fran Rueda, and newly crowned GT3 driver champion of the 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, Anthony McIntosh.

Their strategy was all‑in: instead of a late “splash and dash,” closing driver Jordan Pepper pushed hard to save fuel and secure the victory without an additional pit stop.

In the second BMW M4 GT3 EVO (#27) from Team WRT, Christopher Hasse, Thomas Kiefer, Julian Hanses, Mathieu Detry, and Stanislav Minsky shared the cockpit. They finished second overall.

Almost the entire podium was in the hands of BMW customer motorsport teams. Unfortunately, the BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#991) from Team Paradine Competition crashed just about half an hour before the end.

A tire failure and a burst brake disc ruined the top result for James Kellett, Darren Leung, Augusto Farfus, Jamie Day, and Pedro Ebrahim, who had even led parts of the race. In the end, they finished fourth.

KW Engineering in Motorsport Flows Into Coilover Development

Our KW Racing suspension systems are homologated for numerous race cars. For example, manufacturers such as Aston Martin, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and Toyota use them in selected GT3 and GT4 cars.

The technologies developed for motorsport and the components we use there are also incorporated into our other applications wherever it makes sense. For example, at KW our Clubsport coilovers are closely based on our KW Racing dampers.

We have also adapted the solid-piston dampers developed for GT3 customer sport for road cars and SUVs. For us, the vehicle’s model year does not play a major role.

For example, the four-way adjustable KW V5 coilover suspension, based on our customer motorsport developments, is available for the Porsche Carrera GT and even the Honda NSX, which was introduced in 1990. Everything we develop at KW is sold worldwide and excites car enthusiasts with the typical KW driving characteristics.

By the way, on the KW suspensions brand homepage, you can now find more and more selected vehicles with our KW Racing suspension directly in the online shop. Increasingly, trackday enthusiasts rely on our motorsport hardware even with slick tires. In other words, the technology from professional motorsport is now also available for track tools.
Congratulations to all teams and drivers!
