Saturday’s race: Strong performances despite intense battles

In Saturday’s race, cars homologated with KW V6 Racing suspension showed solid pace from the start. The twins Juliano and Sandro Holzem in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#56) from Schubert Motorsport battled intensely for top positions.

After the driver change, they chased the lead with strong pace and briefly held second place. In the end, the two BMW drivers from Schubert Motorsport had to settle for a solid fourth place.

Local favorites Leo Pichler and Simon Birch in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#14) from Team Razoon – more than racing settled into seventh place and delivered a consistent performance.

Sunday’s race: BMW and Porsche take podium finishes

After showing strong pace on Saturday, Sandro and Juliano Holzem from Schubert Motorsport really made a splash. Lap by lap, their BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#56) moved closer to the front.

Starting from eighth, the BMW climbed to fourth during Sandro Holzem’s stint. After the driver change, Juliano Holzem defended his position and watched the leaders battle for second and third.
In the final laps, the Schubert M4 GT3 Evo began its charge and overtook its rivals. “When I saw the two cars ahead, I knew right away that second place was within reach. I thought about where I could pass cleanly and didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks,” explained Sandro Holzem. “We’re happy with second place. We made a few changes overnight, and they worked. The car had real pace.”

Right behind them, Leo Pichler and Simon Birch secured third place in the #14 Porsche 911 GT3 R from team razoon – more than racing.

Leo Pichler started from tenth and handed over to Birch in ninth, who worked his way steadily through the field. “We had a good strategy. Lap after lap, I pressured the others into mistakes and overtook them one by one. At the end, it was even really close for second place,” said Simon Birch. It was a dream come true for Leo Pichler: “A podium in the ADAC GT Masters here at home was my dream. The fact that we’ve done it now is just awesome.”

Leyton Fourie and Tim Zimmermann in the #11 BMW M4 GT3 Evo from FK Performance Motorsport ran a determined race with many battles and finished eighth.

Alexander Schwarzer and Alexander Fach in the #4 Porsche 911 GT3 R from Fach Auto Tech finished ninth, while Eduardo Coseteng and Julian Hanses in the #10 BMW M4 GT3 Evo from FK Performance Motorsport followed in twelfth. Rudolf Beno and Richard Gonda in the older #23 BMW M4 GT3 from Senkyr Motorsport rounded out the results in 13th.
