After a mixed start to the second half of the season following the summer break, the teams homologated with KW Racing suspension from Aston Martin, BMW, and Porsche stepped up their game on Sunday. BMW celebrated a double victory with Schubert Motorsport.

Starting from sixth place on race Sunday, René Rast (#33) in the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo moved up three positions and settled into third. Two attacks later, the DTM veteran took the lead in lap six.

Thanks to a quick pit stop by the Schubert crew, René Rast’s (#33) teammate Marco Wittmann (#11) was also able to gain positions and moved up to third place. Shortly afterward, the BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#11) overtook the Landgraf AMG (#22).

With a lead of 7.795 seconds, René Rast (#33) crossed the finish line ahead of Marco Wittmann (#11). BMW and Schubert Motorsport thus celebrated an impressive double victory at the Nürburgring.

Ayhancan Güven finished fifth in the Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R (#90), after failing to see the checkered flag on Saturday.

Gilles Magnus made it into the top 10 for the first time 
“Grello” finished tenth at the Nürburgring.
Gilles Magnus (#7) of Comtoyou Racing finished seventh in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, while the second Manthey EMA 911, driven by Thomas Preining (#91), crossed the line in tenth.

Morris Schuring (#92) from the Manthey Junior Team finished twelfth, while Nicolas Baert (#8) in the second Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo from Comtoyou Racing came in 22nd.

In the DTM team standings, Manthey now leads with 225 points ahead of Schubert Motorsport with 213 points. In the manufacturers’ standings, Porsche is in second place with a total of 234 points, followed by BMW M in third with 221 points.
