With their ample interior space, the Ford Transit Custom (NRN, NXN) and the Ford Tourneo Custom (NXN) are ideal vehicles for leisure and family use. Drivers seeking to give these two minivans an even sportier feel will find the KW V3 Coilover Kit to be an excellent choice.

You can pre-order the KW V3 Coilover Kit for the Ford Transit Custom (NRN, NXN) and Ford Tourneo Custom (NXN) directly via our KW automotive Shop (https://store.kwautomotive.de/de-en/). Component Certification is currently being prepared.

Manufactured from stainless steel, the coilover kit allows for separate adjustment of low-speed compression and low-speed rebound damping. Even Ford utilizes this suspension technology in select special editions and has us custom-manufacture their Ford Performance suspensions on a contractual basis.
The most recent Ford models to feature KW V3 technology are the Ford Focus ST Edition and Ford Fiesta ST Edition, while a KW V6 Racing suspension is used in the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck.

The KW V3 Coilover Kit confidently absorbs road imperfections and elevates the handling characteristics of the popular Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom. When cornering, the tall vehicle body is significantly better stabilized and supported by the KW suspension. Initially, the coilover kit will be offered for the all-wheel-drive models.

In designing the KW V3 Coilover Kit for the Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom, we didn’t just sharpen the handling characteristics. Even when unloaded, both Fords maintain a sporty ride comfort. With vans, it is often the case that they compress (deflect) relatively harshly, and lowering comes at the expense of ride comfort. This is not the case with the KW V3 Coilover Kit.

Many of our customers are consistently surprised by how comfortable the ride is, even with the maximum lowering provided by a KW V3 Coilover Kit. We prevent overly uncomfortable damping by using two-stage valves.

In addition to the adjustable low-speed valves, pre-stressed high-speed damper valves are used in both the compression and rebound stages. These valves open during strong vertical accelerations, such as driving over bumps, and allow for harmonious compression even when the vehicle is loaded or empty.
This blow-off function of the high-speed valves in both compression and rebound is especially effective on uneven roads, enabling even better damping and increasing residual ride comfort. This is maintained even with maximum payload and at the maximum lowering setting.

For both all-wheel-drive models, the lowering can be adjusted at the front axle from 35 to 55 millimeters and at the rear axle from 45 to 60 millimeters. The KW V3 Coilover Kit is currently exclusively available for models with an overall length of 5,450 millimeters and a wheelbase of 3,500 millimeters.

The KW V3 Coilover Kit is still under development for both the Plug-in Hybrid engine variants and the front-wheel-drive models.
