Since 2022, Romain Dumas has been a ‘bus driver’ at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and even the Bathurst 12-Hour Race.

The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck generates up to 2.7 tons of downforce – with which Romain Dumas, by the way, won the PPIHC in the USA in 2024

The fast Frenchman regularly pilots the ultra-fast Ford Pro Electric SuperVan, the Ford SuperVan 4.2 Electric, and the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck for Ford.

In 2024, Romain Dumas set the fastest time in the Shootout Final at Goodwood with 43.98 seconds

The three prototypes, equipped with their KW V6 racing suspensions, were built by the Ford Performance Team, the Ford Design Team in Cologne, and the Austrian rally and motorsport specialists STARD (Stohl Advanced Research and Development).

In 2025, Romain Dumas took to the start line at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck and scorched a time of 43.22 seconds into the asphalt during the final Shootout on the Goodwood Hill Climb course on Sunday.

No one was faster in the final at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and with this time, Romain Dumas, after his 43.98 seconds in 2024, once again won the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a fully electric Ford.

At the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Ford also showcased all five generations of its Ford SuperVans, which date back to the early 1970s and were originally built by Ford UK.

Scott Speed, by the way, came in second place in the Shootout with the Subaru Project Midnight, clocking an official time of 45.03 seconds. The oversized carbon-bodied Subaru, based on the WRX, features Reiger rally dampers and, thanks to its fighting weight of under 1,250 kilograms, is a true lightweight.
