Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026: Ford Super Mustang Mach-E EV Demonstrator Records a 41.98-Second Run!

From conquering the summit at the 2026 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to setting the benchmark at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed Hill Climb – Ford and Ford Racing claimed victory with their electric race cars for the third consecutive year. Behind the wheel every time: Romain Dumas.

In the wind tunnel, the aerodynamics of the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E EV Demonstrator generated approximately 12,000 lbs (5.4 tons) of downforce
The amount of downforce is simply staggering. In its road-course configuration and at a speed of 200 mph (322 km/h), the aerodynamic package generated around 12,000 lbs (5.4 tons) of downforce in the wind tunnel.

During Sunday’s final Shootout on July 12, 2026, Romain Dumas laid down a blistering 41.98-second run in the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E EV Demonstrator on the famous Goodwood hill climb course.

Romain Dumas has now won the Goodwood Festival of Speed Shootout a total of five times. Like the Lightning SuperTruck and the various evolutions of the Ford Pro Electric SuperVan Concept, including the Ford SuperVan 4.2, the Mach-E EV Demonstrator was developed jointly by Ford and STARD (Stohl Advanced Research and Development).

Following victories in 2024 with the Ford SuperVan 4.2 (43.98 seconds) and in 2025 with the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck (43.22 seconds), this marks the third consecutive year that Romain Dumas and Ford have won the hill climb in England. Providing the suspension performance every time: our KW Racing dampers.

While the outer KW dampers control individual wheel and body roll movements, the central damper manages pitch during braking and acceleration
