As Formula Drift returned for round 2 at Atlanta 240,000 fans tuned in to watch the competition unfold on the Livestream broadcast during the weekend. KW’s Competition drivers had a strong weekend which also saw Mike Widdett’s Radbul used in anger for the first time.
KW’s Formula Drift Gladiators took 2nd (Ken Gushi),3rd (Chris Forsberg), 6th (Charles Ng) ,9th (Justin Pawlak) and 13th(Mike Whiddett) places over the event in a fierce battle.
The semi-finals were particularly exciting for the crowds as KW drivers Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy Drink / Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z and Ken Gushi in the GReddy Racing / Hankook Tire Scion Racing FR-S went head to head. Their runs too close to call and lead to multiple ‘one more time’ battles. During their third battle, Gushi edged out Forsberg with his close proximity on his chase run giving him the win.
