The race weekend in Zandvoort turned into a real success story for numerous customer teams running KW Racing dampers and KW Racing suspensions. On the demanding dune circuit on the Dutch North Sea coast, several KW-equipped cars were at the center of the action in both the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters.

Over both days, with Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday, our customer teams and drivers collected valuable points, podium places, and an overall victory. The organizer reported 39,500 spectators at the DTM weekend in the Netherlands.
DTM: Consistency on Saturday, Triumph on Sunday

Already in Saturday’s DTM race, the vehicles equipped with KW Racing dampers showed themselves strongly in the points positions. The Porsche team Manthey performed particularly well, placing twice in the top 10.

Thomas Preining brought the Grello (#91, Porsche 911 GT3 R) home in seventh place, while Ricardo Feller finished tenth in the sister car (#90), rounding out the top 10.

Nicki Thiim also scored points, steering the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo #7 of Comtoyou Racing to ninth place.

Several Lamborghini Temerario GT3 cars, all equipped with KW V7 Racing dampers, also attracted attention. Luca Engstler drove the #130 Lamborghini of Red Bull Team Abt to eighth place, while Marco Mapelli finished fifteenth in the sister car #10.

The TGI Team by GRT also collected solid results with Maximilian Paul (#19) and Mirko Bortolotti (#63) finishing in 14th and 15th positions respectively.

Marco Wittmann completed the KW customer results by bringing the BMW M4 GT3 Evo #11 of Schubert Motorsport home in eleventh place.

The second Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin (#8) crossed the finish line in 17th place, while Kelvin van der Linde (#3) in the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo did not reach the finish.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R (#29) from Land Motorsport driven by Bastian Buus, which had finished fourth on track, was disqualified after the race for being under the minimum weight. The car weighed 1,328.5 kg instead of the required 1,332 kg.

Sunday’s race in Zandvoort then marked the sporting DTM highlight from KW’s perspective. Kelvin van der Linde celebrated an impressive victory in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo #3 for Schubert Motorsport.

His teammate Marco Wittmann secured another podium finish with third place.

The other KW cars also demonstrated strong consistency. Luca Engstler from Red Bull Team ABT brought the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 #130 home in sixth place, followed by Marco Mapelli in the #10 Lamborghini in seventh.

Thomas Preining placed the Porsche 911 GT3 R #91 in eighth, while Ricardo Feller finished tenth in the sister car #90.

Further finishers included Mirko Bortolotti (#63 Lamborghini, GRT Team by GRT) in ninth and the two Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo cars from Comtoyou Racing driven by Nicolas Baert (#8) and Nicki Thiim (#7).

Bastian Buus (#29, Land Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R) and Maximilian Paul (#19, TGI Team by GRT) did not see the checkered flag.
ADAC GT Masters: BMW Dominates, Porsche Consistently in Top Positions

The ADAC GT Masters also made a guest appearance at Zandvoort, and in both races our motorsport customers drove onto the podium.

In Saturday’s race, FK Performance Motorsport delivered a commanding performance. Tim Zimmermann and Leyton Fourie celebrated a dominant victory in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#11) and underlined the performance of the KW suspension in the GT3 sprint format.

With second place for the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#56) driven by twins Sandro and Juliano Holzem, BMW achieved a double victory.

The Porsche teams also collected valuable championship points. Colin Bönighausen and Leonhard Pichler brought the Porsche 911 GT3 R #41 of razoon – more than racing home in fifth place, while their teammates Mark Kastelic and Pavel Lefterov finished seventh in the Porsche #14.

Splitting them was the #9 Pure Rxcing GT3 R, with driver duo Alexey Nesvo and Aliaksandr Malykhin claiming sixth place.

Additional top-10 finishes were achieved by BMW drivers Joseph Ellerine and Jan Durán (#12) in eighth and Fabio Rauer and Storm Gjerdrum (#10) in ninth for FK Performance Motorsport.

Jamie Day and Baudouin Detout completed the result for Comtoyou Racing in the Aston Martin AMR Vantage GT3 Evo #39.

In Sunday’s ADAC GT Masters race, these power dynamics were confirmed. Tim Zimmermann and Leyton Fourie again drove the BMW M4 GT3 Evo #11 onto the podium, finishing second, directly followed by their teammates Fabio Rauer and Storm Gjerdrum in the BMW #10 in third place.

Porsche remained consistently represented: Mark Kastelic and Pavel Lefterov achieved fourth place with the razoon Porsche 911 GT3 R #14, while Colin Bönighausen and Leonhard Pichler finished fifth in the second razoon Porsche #41.

Further points were scored by Jamie Day and Baudouin Detout for Comtoyou Racing in the Aston Martin #39 in eighth place, and Sandro Holzem and Juliano Holzem in the BMW #56 of Schubert Motorsport in ninth.

Zandvoort thus became a thoroughly successful weekend for KW Racing customer sport. A DTM victory, several podium finishes, and a large number of top-10 results in two top-class racing series impressively demonstrate the performance of KW Racing dampers and suspensions in professional GT racing.

Whether in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo, the Porsche 911 GT3 R, the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo or the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 – our KW Racing suspensions played their part on the dune circuit of Zandvoort in delivering these successful results for our motorsport customers.
