Kudos to Toyota for continuing to cater to enthusiasts by offering compact sports cars like the GR 86, GR Corolla, and GR Yaris! We offer our KW V3 coilover suspension for all three of these exciting vehicles.

The Toyota GR Yaris, with its 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, has been available since 2020. In July 2024, the facelifted model of this spirited all-wheel-drive sports car was launched in Germany. We now offer the KW V3 coilover suspension for the 280-hp GR Yaris facelift, complete with a parts certificate and manufactured entirely at our German headquarters in Fichtenberg.

We developed a completely new KW V3 coilover suspension specifically for the facelifted model. The KW V3 for the pre-facelift GR Yaris is incompatible with the facelift. Therefore, please double-check your order in our online shop. The easiest way to identify the facelift model is by its higher engine output, especially if you don’t have the parts number readily available.

Due to incompatibility with the pre-facelift version, a completely new KW V3 coilover suspension was required for the facelifted model. During the facelift, Toyota further stiffened the GR Yaris’s body and revised the suspension.

Our development team designed new shock absorbers and damper housings for the facelifted GR Yaris. Furthermore, the KW V3 coilover suspension for the facelifted Toyota GR Yaris also features different piston rods and suspension springs compared to the pre-facelift model.

In the 280-hp facelifted Toyota GR Yaris, the KW V3 provides sporty, balanced handling with firm yet comfortable damping.

KW collaborates closely with Toyota on various motorsport projects, including the Toyota GR Supra GT4 and its Evo models, as well as special edition vehicles. For instance, the Toyota GR Supra A90 Final Edition is delivered with a KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension kit.

Compared to other aftermarket suspensions, the KW V3 for the Toyota GR Yaris offers significant advantages beyond its stainless steel shock absorbers and damper housings. Many coilovers from other brands lack adjustable dampers.

Even if they do, these suspensions often only offer a combined adjustment for compression and rebound damping. The KW V3 allows for independent and precise adjustment of compression and rebound damping, directly influencing the GR Yaris’s handling more precisely.

Adjusting the suspension tuning is simple and requires no extra tools. You can independently adjust compression and rebound damping on the stainless steel damper housings to achieve a firmer or more comfortable ride. Adjustment instructions are included with every adjustable KW coilover suspension kit.

The integrated click wheel on the stainless steel housing provides twelve adjustment settings for the damping force, reducing pitching and rolling. Increased compression damping on the front axle enhances steering response, while increased compression damping on the rear axle mitigates oversteer.

Many KW V3 coilover suspension enthusiasts praise the excellent ride comfort, even at maximum lowering. This is attributed to the chassis’s two-stage valve design.
Even with the compression setting at its firmest, a pre-configured high-speed compression valve opens when encountering bumps or uneven road surfaces. This valve technology allows the wheels to absorb the impact and maintain contact with the road, preventing the wheel hop and body roll often associated with poorly tuned suspensions.

The KW V3’s rebound damping is also independently adjustable with 16 clicks, further fine-tuning the GR Yaris’s handling and ride comfort.

Lower rebound damping improves ride comfort, while higher rebound damping enhances handling and reduces body roll. At high speeds, this translates to more precise steering. The rebound valves also utilize a two-stage design.

The KW V3 lowering for the Toyota GR Yaris facelift is adjusted via the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread on the front axle’s stainless steel struts and the rear axle’s height adjustment mechanism. The system allows for a continuous lowering of 25 to 45 millimeters on both axles.

We will also offer our KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension and KW Racing suspension for the facelifted Toyota GR Yaris.
