NLS: Frikadelli Racing celebrates with Porsche and KW

KW motorsport customer triumph again at the Nürburgring: Frikadelli Racing celebrates a double victory with Porsche with the #30 and #31.

In the current season of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (Nürburgring Endurance Series), the motorsport customers of the suspension manufacturer KW automotive dominate.

In the overall ranking, Frikadelli Racing celebrates a double victory with their two Porsche 911 GT3 R (#30 and #31), the Falken Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R (#4) finishes third and the yellow-green Manthey Porsche #911 crosses the finish line in the fourth position.

In the races of the Nürburgring long-distance series in the run-up to the traditional ADAC Total 24h race, the density of GT3 teams is at its highest.

The suspension manufacturer based in Fichtenberg equips many GT3 teams with its racing dampers, such as all Porsche 911 GT3 R.

In addition, the BMW M6 GT3 teams such as ROWE Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport, and the BMW Junior Team also benefit from KW’s racing dampers.

Already on Thursday, the suspension manufacturer was at the Nordschleife. Together with its motorsport customer BMW, KW completed the first tests on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with the new BMW M4 GT3.

The new BMW M4 GT3 (2022) racecar will make use of the current generation of 5-way adjustable KW racing suspensions with Solid Piston Technology. Thanks to the modular KW valve technology with different main valves and spring types, these dampers offer the possibility to individually design the characteristic curve.

The valves for the low and high-speed forces of compression and rebound damping, which are positioned laterally in series, can be precisely tuned and offset in the so-called KW TwinTube Solid Piston dampers. In contrast to other systems, the adjustable damper valves are separated from the piston working chamber.

KW motorsport customers again demonstrated just how well these dampers already work in tough racing conditions at the third race of the Nürburgring long-distance series (Endurance Series).

KW motorsport customers are on position 1 – 6

Worldwide, all Porsche 911 GT3 R cars in Porsche’s customer racing program are delivered ex-works with KW dampers.

The Porsche team Frikadelli Racing celebrates an overall victory with its drivers Earl Bamber and Mathieu Jaminet, while the second team car (#31) with the drivers Maxime Martin and Patrick Pilet finished second.

The Falken Porsche (#4) with the driver duo Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger finished third.

Lars Kern and Michael Christensen underlined the dominance of KW motorsport customers in the yellow-green Manthey Porsche.

The ROWE racing with its two BMW M6 GT3 finished fifth (#99 Nick Catsburg, John Edwards and Nick Yelloly) and sixth (#98 Connor de Philippi, Martin Tomczyk and Marco Wittmann).

Not only the GTR3 teams’ racing cars with KW motorsport dampers are in the leading position, but KW motorsport customers also celebrate ten victories in various cups of the respective brands and in the classes which are close to standard.
