NLS: KW Racing customers dominate the NLS Double-Header

Alongside the KW 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race, the NLS Double-Header weekend ranks among the absolute season highlights in the NLS calendar on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. On 12 and 13 September 2026, our KW Racing customers went head-to-head twice in a row in the Green Hell – and our motorsport customers won on both occasions.

Race 1 on Saturday: the 65th ADAC Reinoldus Endurance Race

For a long time on Saturday, the outcome remained completely open, and the race was only decided in the final metres. Right from the start, the Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#77) set a blistering pace.

Jordan Pepper, who shared the cockpit of the Schubert M4 (#77) with Jens Klingmann and Ugo de Wilde, immediately made a strong statement and took the lead from David Jahn in the Gamota Racing BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#23). In the opening laps the two BMWs delivered top-class motorsport with intense duels in front of the impressive crowd of spectators.

The M4 GT3 Evos homologated with KW V6 Racing dampers left nothing to chance. Jordan Pepper in the Schubert GT3 (#77) went all-out, even using the grass at the Schwedenkreuz to overtake the Gamota Racing BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#23) once again.

Close battle between Schubert and Falken

Throughout the entire distance, the 65th ADAC Reinoldus Endurance Race on Saturday produced numerous position battles – not only at the front, but also in the classes. Around half of the 131-car field in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) is typically equipped with our various KW Racing suspension systems.

In the end it became thrilling once more. In the second half of the race the entire field was almost completely reshuffled by various retirements and yellow-flag periods. This led to a fierce head-to-head battle between the leading Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#77) and the Falken Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R (#44), which had meanwhile moved up to second place.

Our KW Racing colleague Tim Heinemann shared driving duties in the Falken Porsche (#44) with Morris Schuring over the weekend. During their stints the Falken driver pairing moved the #44 into the lead in the second half of the race.

In the closing minutes the Schubert BMW (#77) and the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#44) caught up with the Walkenhorst Motorsport Aston Martin. This made the fight between the two leading cars even tighter. On lap 24 the BMW (#77) reclaimed the lead and held it all the way to the finish.

The Falken Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R (#44) was flagged second, just 0.308 seconds behind.

Further top-10 finishes went to our KW Racing customers Dunlop Motorsport (#17) and B.48 Losch Motorsport by Black Falcon (#48), who brought their Porsche 911 GT3 Rs home in fifth and sixth places.

Walkenhorst Motorsport finished seventh with their Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#35), also homologated with KW Racing dampers, while the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#123) of Mühlner Motorsport completed the top 10 from a KW perspective.

Race 2 on Sunday: 66th ADAC ACAS Cup

In the ninth round of the 2026 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the 66th ADAC ACAS Cup, Falken Motorsport claimed their first win of the season with the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#44) driven by Morris Schuring and Tim Heinemann – and they did so in extremely difficult weather conditions.

After a dry start, rain began to fall as early as lap six and later became so heavy that wet-weather tyres became mandatory. In the final hour conditions were at times borderline for aquaplaning, with even the wet tyres reaching their limits and drivers having to reduce speed on the straights.

The Falken Porsche, which had started from pole position and already built up a lead in the dry, was clearly superior on its tyres in the rain and drove to an unchallenged victory. Our colleague Tim Heinemann described the conditions as the worst he had ever experienced and was especially relieved to have brought the Porsche home in one piece.

Second place went to the Dunlop Porsche (#17) of Nico Menzel and Flynt Schuring, securing a one-two for Schnabl Engineering with the Falken and Dunlop 911s and a family double for the Schuring clan. For Flynt Schuring it was his very first GT3 weekend and at the same time his first outing with a GT3 on the Nordschleife – a baptism of fire under these extreme conditions.

KW Racing customers take the chequered flag in positions 1 to 5

The battle for second place was fiercely contested. The Dunlop Porsche (#17) fended off constant attacks from the chasing pack. The most persistent challengers were the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#48) of B:48 Losch Motorsport by Black Falcon and the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#35) of Walkenhorst Motorsport.

The eventual third-placed Losch Porsche had a race of highs and lows. Initially the #48 was battling at the front, but in the heat of the moment driver Tobias Müller missed a Code 60 flag and ran into a VW Golf (#494) from MSC Dhünn e.V., damaging the front of the 911. After serving a drive-through penalty at the pits, the Porsche then went off in the Klostertal – fortunately without hitting anything!

In the end none of these setbacks could stop the B:48 Losch Motorsport by Black Falcon team, and the Porsche still made it onto the podium in third place.

The Walkenhorst Aston Martin (#35) finished fourth, while the Gamota BMW #23 came home fifth.

Behind them, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#5) of Black Falcon Team EAE and the 911 (#54) of Dinamic GT took eighth and tenth places. During the Double-Header the Green Hell once again showed its most demanding side with its weather extremes. Overall the race was characterised by extreme weather fluctuations, several retirements and close battles at the front.
