NLS: Positions 1 to 5 – KW Racing Teams win NLS races once more

In the four-hour ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy race, the second NLS race of the 2025 season on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, KW automotive’s GT3 motorsport customers once more took places 1 to 5. Falken Motorsports was victorious once more.

Of the 133 race cars evaluated, almost half will start with KW Racing suspensions, which we configure with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-way adjustable dampers, depending on the regulations. In the GT3 class, all Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO, BMW M4 GT3 Evo, and Porsche 911 GT3 Evo cars worldwide are homologated with KW V6 Racing dampers.

Many teams competing in the NLS production car classes have relied on KW Racing suspensions for years, as have numerous Cup and GT4 race cars such as the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo, BMW M240i Racing Cup, BMW M4 GT4 Evo, Mercedes-AMG GT4, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, and Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo 2, all equipped with KW Racing dampers.

After about a quarter of the race distance, the two Falken Motorsports Porsches #3 and #4 took the lead and stayed in front for a long time. In the final lap, the eventual winners, Dorian Boccolacci and Alessio Picariello, nearly lost to the Walkenhorst Motorsport Vantage!

The ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy, organized by ADAC Westfalen e.V. and MSC Ruhr-Blitz Bochum e.V., was won by the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#3) from Falken Motorsports. The Falken Porsche (#3), driven by Dorian Boccolacci and Alessio Picariello, crossed the finish line with a lead of 30.751 seconds.

“Last time, I was delighted with second place in my first GT3 race at the Green Hell, but now I’m standing at the top of the podium and I’m very happy,” said Dorian Boccolacci. ”Because of the penalty, I didn’t have to take any risks on the last lap.”

“Due to a time penalty for falling below the minimum standing time, the Walkenhorst Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO (#34) was classified second. Mattia Drudi and Christian Krognes took turns at the wheel of the Walkenhorst Aston (#34). “It’s a shame about the victory,” said Mattia Drudi. “But the car ran perfectly, and we can be happy with the data we collected.”

Third place went to the BMW M4 GT3 Evo from Rowe Racing with the #98. The M4 was shared by four drivers: Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, Raffaele Marciello, and Kelvin Van der Linde. “It was a chaotic race for us with lots of yellow flags, so we can be satisfied with the result,” said Augusto Farfus. The Rowe M4 GT3 started the race from ninth place.

The Scherer Sport PHX Porsche 911 GT3 R (#16), driven by Patric Niederhauser and Patrick Pillet, crossed the finish line in fourth place.

Our colleague Tim Heinemann and his co-driver Dennis Marschall finished fifth due to their longer pit stop at the end. Incidentally, KW Automotive will be sponsoring the NLS team trophy. This underlines our commitment to grassroots motorsport on the Nordschleife.
