Novitec relies on KW suspension Engineering for the Ferrari F8 Tributo

A spectacular backdrop isn’t needed for the Ferrari F8 Tributo, since the Italian super sports car attracts a whole lot of attention by itself as onlookers take photos. The very first modern vehicle which is part of Ferrari’s ancestral gallery was the Ferrari 308 GTB from 1975.

The Ferrari 488, Ferrari 458, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 360, Ferrari F355, Ferrari 348 and Ferrari 328 mid-engine sports cars along with the 308 are among the ancestors of the 720 hp Ferrari F8 Tributo. The 3.9-liter eight-cylinder offers plenty of scope for performance enhancement thanks to its two turbochargers.

Color and location change

In order to satisfy its fastidious customers, the tuner Novitec developed the so-called Novitec N-Tronic additional control modules together with its engine technicians. The electronic performance enhancements, which are controlled by the processor and can be activated via the Ferrari Manettino operating elements on the steering wheel, were tuned on the company’s own four-wheel chassis dynamometer.

The redesigned engine characteristics already increase the output of the turbocharged eight-cylinder engine by an additional 67 hp. When the optimized engine characteristics are paired with a Novitec high-performance exhaust system, the V8 mid-engine produces 802 hp (590 kW) with its two turbochargers, and the maximum torque is 898 Newton meters.

As with other vehicles from the tuner Novitec, KW automotive exclusively develops the suspension components. We also created a Hydraulic Lift System in addition to height-adjustable springs for the Ferrari F8 Tributo.

The height-adjustable springs can be lowered by up to 35 millimeters when combined with the standard dampers. For this purpose, in addition to elastomer spring elements, coil spring plates or coil spring sleeves are installed in conjunction with the springs.

Just like the KW Hydraulic Lift System for Ferrari vehicles, the Novitec suspension kit made by KW is available exclusively from Novitec directly or Novitec distributors worldwide. Thanks to the two lift cylinders on the front axle, the front of the Ferrari moves up by about 40 millimeters at the push of a button.

This makes it easier to overcome steep parking garage ramps or speed bumps. Novitec provides the F8 Tributo with a carbon fiber aerodynamic kit. It enables the front of the mid-engine sports car to be modified with a two-piece spoiler lip and flaps on the lateral air intakes.

In addition to the side sills, a rear wing and diffuser made of carbon fiber are also available for the Ferrari. It has long been a tradition of our partner Novitec to develop body components that serve improved aerodynamics. The prototypes are tested in the air duct of the Research Institute of Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Engines Stuttgart.

The Novitec NF10 forged rims with five filigree double spokes and leaf shutter measure 9 x 21 inches on the front axle and 12 x 22 inches on the rear axle. The tires that are mounted on this vehicle measure 255/30 ZR 21 and 335/25 ZR 22.
