Last weekend, the new season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series began with the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt. The starting field consisted of 114 racing cars, and around 7,000 spectators cheered from the grandstands. Porsche 911 GT3 R and BMW M4 GT3 cars, homologated with KW V6 Racing dampers, took the first five places.
Falken Motorsports celebrated a one-two victory with their two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars. At the beginning, things didn’t go smoothly for the #3 car, in which Morris Schuring and Sven Müller shared the cockpit. After the first lap, the #3 car returned to the pits and switched from rain tires to slicks. The Falken Porsche then fought its way up from 15th place to first place over the entire race distance.
With a lead of 3.068 seconds, the #3 Falken Porsche crossed the finish line ahead of the second #4 Falken Porsche, driven by Nico Menzel and Dorian Boccolacci.
The #911 Manthey EMA car finished third, with DTM racing drivers Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Güven taking turns at the wheel.
Manthey Racing, one of the most successful teams on the Nordschleife, has close ties to the track and holds an impressive track record with six overall victories in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
A fourth Porsche 911 GT3 R finished fourth. Dinamic GT fielded Bastian Buus and Matteo Cairoli in the #54 car.
Fifth place went to the #98 BMW M4 GT3 fielded by Rowe Racing. Kelvin van der Linde, Raffaele Marciello, Augusto Farfus, and Jesse Krohn took turns driving the BMW at the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt.
This dominant performance by our motorsport customers demonstrates once again that our KW suspension technology is perfectly suited for the Nürburgring Nordschleife. For several years, we have equipped nearly half of the NLS starting field with our KW V3 Racing, KW V4 Racing, KW V5 Racing, and KW V6 Racing dampers across various classes.
The Nürburgring Endurance Series thus remains true to its tradition: exciting races, changing weather conditions and a unique motorsport experience on one of the most legendary race tracks in the world.
