While a Porsche Cayman GT4 from the official customer motor sport program emphasizes KW’s strong commitment as a development partner for numerous automobile manufacturers, refiners, and tuners. At the KW exhibition booth (stand 2042 hall 2), the new KW Variant 4 coilovers will be the focus.
With the KW Variant 4 coilovers, the suspension manufacturer combines leading racing technology with a clear plus in everyday life for high-caliber super sports cars, sports cars, and performance sedans such as Audi R8 (42), Audi RS6 (C7), BMW M5 (F10), Lamborghini Aventador LP 750- 4 SV, Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Co. Compared to conventional suspensions, the Variant 4 features adjustable 3-way high-performance dampers. This allows an independent adjustment of the rebound damping as well as the low speed and high speed compression damping.
KW provides the Variant 4 with a vehicle-specific comfort setting and using the adjustable dampers with the integrated setting adjuster it can intuitively be switched quickly to a performance setup, if required. For the damper and valve manufacturing completed directly in Germany, KW automotive only uses hard-coated components made of aircraft aluminum and brass alloys, which ensure a low friction in the damping workspace and therefore reduce breakaway moments at maximum loads.
The KW Variant 4 coilover kit is manufactured according to vehicle-specific requirements in versions for McPherson suspension struts, spring struts for double cross-link or multi-link axles as well as push-rod wheel suspensions made of aluminum or stainless steel.
World premiere: New KW DDC plug&play damper adjustment technology
At the Geneva Motor Show, KW presents the next generation of its adaptive DDC plug&play coilovers.
At the Geneva Motor Show, KW presents the next generation of its adaptive DDC plug&play coilovers. The new DDC coilovers have a new DDC valve technology and are compatible with numerous standard suspension controls. At first, the new DDC plug&play coilover kit will be available for the current BMW M3 sedan (F80) and the M4 coupé (F82) with optional adaptive M suspensions.
The great advantage: as in the series, the adaptive KW DDC plug&play coilover kit reads out the serial sensors and adapts to the respective driving situation within hundredths of a second. In addition, the driver can still switch between the modes “Comfort”, “Sport” and “Sport Plus” from the cockpit via the serial switch.
ST suspensions also in Geneva
Since its internationalization, the KW brand “ST suspensions” has achieved a very high market penetration in the middle price segment. The suspension brand, which has been established in the USA since the 1970s, also offers numerous applications for the current Audi TT, Ford Focus RS, Opel / Vauxhall Astra K and for Asian vehicles.
From sports suspensions, to wheel spacers, lift kits, and coilovers with KW dampers. One highlight is the ST XTA coilover kit that gives the Ford Focus RS a clear plus in driving dynamics with increased comfort. With its adjustable dampers and top mounts, the suspension is perfectly designed for a sporty driving.
Lambo Style Doors – “One Move”- opening system
From now on, the latest generation of the LSD hinges leads the door upwards in one move without having to open up to a certain degree outwards first. The new LSD Doors with the “One Move”-opening system are initially available for a selection of super sports cars such as the Audi R8 GT Spyder or the Lamborghini Gallardo.
With a low installation effort, the series door hinges are replaced by the vehicle-specific LSD-fittings in order to allow the doors to be opened like numerous Lamborghini models. KW now has further developed the style-defining LSD-Doors.
