We made it! In the middle of the FIA WORLD RALLY CROSS Championship we have actually managed to get Ken Block out of the cockpit for one day to be on site at the Tuning World Bodensee!
But it gets even better! Via the Facebook page of the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE we from ST suspensions were searching together with the exhibition project team for Germany’s biggest Ken Block fan! Pascal Beig jetted with his Ford in “Hoonicorn-Design” 700 km to meet his idol. No, Pascal didn´t come all the way to the Bodensee just because of an autograph card, but the night before the exhibition, he went out for an exclusive dinner with Ken Block, representatives of ST suspensions and the Messe Friedrichshafen. More than two hours, Pascal got the chance to talk with Ken Block about cars and the effort behind the scenes of a Gymkhana video production.
The next morning Ken Block strolled through the fair and stopped for a while at the Porsche of our pal Robert Klinger. Finally, the old 964 has a lot of highlights, such as the 18-inch Locca Wheels, KW coilover suspension Variant 3 and a KW HLS dropkit.
During his tour around the fair, of course he also took some time for his fans and signed various “tuning devotionals”
“It was great to walk around the Tuning World Bodensee and to see the fans. Here, other car brands are represented than in America, but the trends are similar. The variety of cars and tuning competitions here is impressive”, said Ken Block.
Afterwards, the Ken Block Show started at the booth of ST suspensions. In addition to an autograph session, also the new Ford Focus RS was unveiled.
Besides the fifteen52 Tarmac ST Special Edition rims in 8.5 x 19 inches with Toyo Proxes T1 Sport in 235/35-19, we have also installed a prototype of our ST coilover kit that will soon be available for the Focus RS. Just over an hour, Ken Block had time to sign autographs and getting photographed with his fans.
Then Ken Block stopped again in the performance area. Right after, he already had to hit back to the airport, as for the rally driver and ST suspensions brand ambassador his race in Hockenheim for the FIA WORLD RALLY CROSS was still on the program.
By the way, Ken reached the third place with his new Ford Focus RS RX! What a crazy weekend in southern Germany.
