One night in Romania. No, we aren’t telling you a story about garlic, vampires or other boring tales about Eastern Europe. We had a close encounter with a VW Bora. Outside Europe it is also known as VW Jetta IV and the car is drop dead beautiful – for a sedan. With 150 hp and 4motion (AWD) it’s the perfect daily!
Let’s put the Volkswagen in the spotlight. The stance of the Bora is awesome. For a daily car the sedan is slammed perfectly! If you are cruising around the famous Austrian Wörthersee around the time of the „GTI Meeting“ you’ll met a lot of Volkswagen fans from Romania with great modified cars. They know their business!
The Bora driver, Alex Teianu, modified his VW in the last month and installed a ST XTA coilover kit and don’t even had to widen his wheel arches for the stance .
For his chosen drop he only installed a Bora 2.8 V6 4motion sway bar and adjustable connecting rods.
„I have installed the ST coilover kit in my garage and I love the ST XTA suspension kit.”
“Because I can do all the adjustment that I need to drive low and have an awesome fitment.“
The mounted front bumper is the US version without central car license plate and marker lights on the left and right side.
Looking great: BBS LeMans replica wheels in 19 x 8,5” (offset 18) and 19 x 9,5” (offset 17) with Nankang NS2 tires in 215/35-19.
In the upcoming month’s Alex wants to upgrade the beige Bora interior.
We can’t believe it. Some years ago no one was really a great fan of the VW Storm Beige varnish and some guys called the color pensioners’ coating. But in daylight the color is a real eyecandy!
