For us motorsport enthusiasts, it’s quite a shame that the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps won’t be broadcast on free-to-air television. Honestly, that’s a real red flag! It’s 2025, and customer racing by automotive manufacturers is booming worldwide.

What used to be more of a side business for some car manufacturers has evolved into a major economic factor. Today, SRO Motorsports organizes numerous championships and races across Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe, all driven by the customer racing programs of automotive brands.

At the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, which is a key part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, 76 GT3 cars from ten manufacturers will line up on the grid at 4:30 p.m. on June 28, 2025. That’s absolutely incredible and surpasses last year’s field of 66 GT3 entries. Race cars from Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche will be competing in Spa.
Out of the 76 starters, we at KW automotive are equipping a total of 30 race cars with our KW V6 Racing suspension systems. Nearly every second GT3 car on the grid at the 24-hour race in the Belgian Ardennes is running on our hardware. All Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVOs, BMW M4 GT3 EVOs, and Porsche 911 GT3 Rs are fitted with KW dampers.

As the defending champion, ComToYou Racing is heading to Spa-Francorchamps with their Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO #007. Last year, they ended Aston Martin’s winless streak at the Belgian 24-hour classic, which had lasted since 1948.

In 2025, alongside ComToYou Racing, Verstappen.com Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport, and Beachdean AMR will also compete, fielding a total of eight Aston Martin Vantage AMR EVOs.

The undisputed leader in overall victories at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is BMW. Between 1965 and 2018, the Bavarians have claimed the “rollercoaster ride through the Ardennes” an impressive 25 times.

This year, the teams BMW Italia Ceccato Racing, Team WRT, Century Motorsport, and Rowe Racing will compete with the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO.

The five BMW teams are fielding a total of eleven M4 GT3s, and of course, the BMWs are just as strongly staffed as the rest of the grid.

Porsche has claimed overall victory at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps eight times, and exactly eight Porsche teams are competing this year.

Among the Porsche teams on the grid are Dinamic GT, who secured third place overall with their Porsche 911 GT3 R at last weekend’s Nürburgring 24 Hours, as well as AV Racing by Car Collection Motorsport, Herberth Motorsport, Lionspeed GP, Pure Rxcing, Rutronik Motorsport, Schumacher CLRT, and Wright Motorsports — together fielding a total of eleven Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.

On June 28, 2025, the starting lights in Spa-Francorchamps will go green at 4:30 p.m. And for those who still want to watch the race live, it’s just a click away. The race will be streamed live on the @GTWorld YouTube channel — and the best part: it will be available in English, Italian, German, Dutch, French, and Portuguese.

But it gets even better: From pre-qualifying, qualifying, and the battle for Super Pole to the warm-up and the race itself. You can follow it all live on the @GTWorld YouTube channel, starting Thursday, June 26, 2025. Glorious!
