Lighter, more agile, and more direct – the new BMW Z4 (G29) is an honest roadster that focuses on the proverbial joy of driving. The Z4 sDrive20i, Z4 sDrive30i, and Z4 M40i get even more driving pleasure with the KW Variant 3 coilover.

In addition to the lowering, the KW coilover suspension made of stainless steel, gives the new Roadster sportier handling on request. Thanks to the ability to tune the adjustable dampers in compression and rebound separately, a tighter or sportier-comfortable driving behavior can be adjusted.

The KW Variant 3 coilover is now available for the new BMW Z4 (G29) Roadster and allows a stepless lowering between 30 to 50 millimeters at the front axle and at the drive axle.

Basically, the rebound damping ensures that the bodywork is tied to the road, and the rebound forces allow for firmer or more comfortable handling. If the rebound valves are opened, the ride comfort increases; if they are closed, the handling becomes more direct.

The compression damping stage, however, regulates the compression of the damper as well as supports the body structure. In addition, the adjustable compression force level can be used to influence body roll and increase steering performance.

Our adjustable dampers offer even more advantages. For example, the Variant 3 has pre-configured high-speed valves that can be opened depending on the driving situation and enable harmonic suspension even with a tight damper setup.

Even with maximum lowering and fast driving over large transverse joints or even bumps, these high-speed valves open in a flash. Even at high speeds, the Roadster does not offset transverse grooves on motorway bridges and remains safe for neutral driving behavior.

Shortly the adaptive KW DDC plug & play coilover kit and per request of the active track day community, a KW 3-way Clubsport coilover kit will be released for the Z4 sDrive20i, Z4 sDrive30i, and Z4 M40i.
