Many manufacturers run extensive GT3 and GT4 customer racing programs to strengthen their brand presence. This segment has been booming for years, resulting in numerous championships being contested around the globe.
In the GT3 category, we supply race cars from Aston Martin, BMW, Lamborghini, and Porsche. For the 2026 season, these include the Vantage GT3 Evo, M4 GT3 Evo, Temerario GT3, and 911 GT3 R.
In Germany, the best-known GT3 championships include ADAC GT Masters, DTM, International GT Open, and GT World Challenge Europe. Last weekend, ADAC GT Masters visited the Nürburgring for championship races seven and eight. In both races, our motorsport customers secured podium finishes.
Successful weekend in ADAC GT Masters
On Saturday, Leyton Fourie and Tim Zimmermann drove the FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#11) to third place overall. “The start was a bit tricky because the outside line was still dirty from the trucks that had run before us,” explained Leyton Fourie after being passed by Kalus and Gjerdrum.
“I pushed aggressively to maybe create an opportunity against the Lamborghini. Unfortunately, that backfired and both Fords got by. When one of the Fords made a mistake, I was able to pass again, but there was nothing more available. With this third-place finish, we achieved the maximum possible result for the championship today.”
Directly behind the FK Performance BMW was the Schubert Motorsport M4 GT3 Evo (#56). The cockpit is shared by twin brothers Juliano and Sandro Holzem. Under ADAC GT Masters regulations, every race car is entered with two drivers who share the driving stints, unlike in the DTM, for example, where drivers compete in the race on their own.
The second FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#10) was classified in sixth place. Storm Gjerdrum and Fabio Rauer shared the driving duties in the cockpit.
The best-placed Porsche team on Saturday was the Razoon – more than racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#41). Leo Pichler and Alexander Tauscher brought their Porsche, homologated with KW V6 Racing dampers, home in ninth place. Their teammates, Pavel Lefterov and Mark Kastelic, crossed the finish line in tenth place with their Porsche 911 GT3 R (#14).
The third FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#12), shared by Joseph Ellerine and Victor Nielsen, finished eleventh, while the Comtoyou Racing team brought its Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#39) home in twelfth place.
First Victory at the Nürburgring
After finishing twelfth with their Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#39) on Saturday, Jamie Day and Baudouin Detout experienced a completely different outcome on Sunday.
In temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius and under bright sunshine, Jamie Day immediately took the lead from pole position and steadily increased his advantage in the Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#39).
The Belgian Aston Martin team opted for a late pit stop and driver change. During his stint, Baudouin Detout was able to maintain the advantage of the Vantage AMR GT3 Evo (#39). After 39 laps, the Aston Martin crossed the finish line in first place with a margin of 3.806 seconds.
Sunday was also significantly more successful for the Razoon – more than racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#41) than Saturday had been. Leo Pichler and Alexander Tauscher took the checkered flag in fourth place.
Behind them in fifth place was the FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#11), driven by Leyton Fourie and Tim Zimmermann.
Behind the front-runners, the midfield battle remained intense as additional KW Racing customer teams crossed the finish line. Leading this chasing group were Storm Gjerdrum and Fabio Rauer, who finished eighth after 39 laps in the second FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#10).
In eleventh place came the second Razoon – more than racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#14) driven by P. Lefterov and M. Kastelic. Directly behind them, Juliano Holzem and Sandro Holzem secured twelfth position for Schubert Motorsport in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#56), followed by Victor Nielsen and Joseph Ellerine, who finished thirteenth in the third FK Performance Motorsport BMW (#12).
GT World Challenge Asia: Positions 1 through 3 in the Hands of KW Racing Customer Teams on Sunday
While the ADAC GT Masters was racing at the Nürburing, the GT World Challenge Asia competed at Japan’s Fuji International Speedway. The grid consisted of 25 GT3 race cars, with Porsche alone represented by eleven 911 GT3 R entries.
The highest-finishing KW Racing customer team on Saturday was Origine Motorsport with Wei Lu and Laurin Heinrich in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#11), who moved up to finish third overall in the closing stages of the race. At the mandatory pit stop, the Origine Motorsport Porsche was still running in sixth position before launching its charge through the field.
The density of KW Motorsport customer teams remained high further down the order. Cunfan Ruan and Max Hesse brought the TEAM KRC BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#89) home in seventh place. Directly behind them, two more KW customer teams delivered a strong one-two result that completed an excellent overall showing inside the top ten:
Ruohan Huang and Alessandro Ghiretti of Absolute Racing secured ninth place in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#911), while Anthony Xu Liu and Dorian Boccolacci of Phantom Global Racing crossed the finish line in tenth place, just half a second behind.
Overall Victory and a Clean Sweep of the Podium for KW Motorsport Customer Teams in Race Two at Fuji
In the second GT World Challenge Asia race at Fuji, teams equipped with KW Racing dampers secured all three podium positions. Wei Lu and Laurin Heinrich claimed victory in the Origine Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R (#11).
After Laurin Heinrich led during the opening third of the race, and despite serving a five-second time penalty carried over from the previous day, Wei Lu brought the Porsche 911 GT3 R (#11) to the finish after 34 laps with an advantage of 6.7 seconds.
Anthony Xu Liu and Dorian Boccolacci secured second place in the Phantom Global Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#37). The duo charged from 15th on the starting grid to finish runners-up.
Cunfan Ruan and Max Hesse claimed third place in the TEAM KRC BMW M4 GT3 Evo (#89), securing the final podium position in a photo finish by just 0.004 seconds.
Ruohan Huang and Alessandro Ghiretti brought the Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (#911) home in sixth place. The championship leaders therefore continued to add valuable points to their title campaign.
