Belltech Truck Story #5

“We hope to keep the truck in the family for many years to come.” – Dustin G.

For 40 years, Belltech has been manufacturing affordable, high-quality components that have been part of truck builds across generations. Dustin G. has been a loyal Belltech customer since his first build at 18. He tells us more about his father-son 95′ Sierra build.

I’ve used Belltech in all my static drop suspensions and shocks in all my other vehicles. We were looking for a truck that was subtle yet very stylish that had affordable parts available. We obtained the truck used off Facebook Marketplace.

I have used Belltech on past vehicles I’ve owned and have always had great success with the product, so we decided to install the 5″ and 7″ static drop on this pickup. Products have been great and hassle-free.

The biggest challenge of this build was that it was during Covid, and obtaining parts was a struggle due to availability. We also live in Canada, so custom parts are much harder to obtain than in the USA. There were some wait times on some specific items. This truck was built to keep us busy over Covid. We did all the customizing totally ourselves. We have about 650 hours into the build, and we hope to keep the truck in the family for many years to come.

There are tons of different mods of parts on the truck. The engine is a built 350 4 bolts main with a comp cam. Ran off a Holley Sniper EFI and a TCI transmission controller. It’s got a built 4L60E with a Circle T 3000 stall converter. The interior has Katzkin Leather seats, and the audio is all a mix of Kicker, Hertz, and Skar.

I have used Belltech on a 1986 Blazer I owned when I was 18, and I currently have a Silverado SS with a full Belltech Suspension on it.

I have always loved working on vehicles. It has just been a passion of mine since I was young.

From all of us at Belltech, we thank you and look forward to sharing more of your stories!
