Within the Comfort mode in the BMW i4 eDrive40 (G26), the adaptive coilover automatically damps street irregularities without losing corner stability. On wavy roads, the KW DDC coilovers are way more comfortable than the conventional BMW i4 serial suspension without adaptive M-dampers.

With the KW DDC plug & play coilover kit at the front axle, the 340 hp BMW i4 eDrive 40 (G26) Gran Coupé gains more direct handling.

When equipping the BMW i4 (G26) Gran Coupé with a KW DDC plug & play coilover kit, there is no big challenge. A special DDC damper is used on the rear axle; because the BMW i4 models are using an adaptive air suspension.

It is similar to our KW V3 coilover suspensions for the BMW 5-series Touring (G31, Wagon) and BMW 6-series GT (G32). The KW DDC dampers for the factory air suspension system have been adapted for BMW i4 M50 (G26) Gran Coupé models. We have shortened KW electronically adjustable damper struts and also adjusted them for the factory air suspension’s rebound travel. A KW joint rod adjusts the height of the air suspension system. The new DDC rear shock version is for the “regular” i4 (eDrive35 and eDrive40) in development.

The only thing that needs to be adapted manually within the KW DDC plug & play coilover kit is the lowering.

Because of the retrofit of a KW DDC coilover kit at the front axle a continuous lowering of 20 to 40 millimeters is possible. At the rear axle, the car can be lowered from 15 to 35 millimeters with a KW joint rod.

The BBS CI-R Unlimited has been mounted in sizes of 9 x 20 inches and 9.5 x 20 inches with black rim protectors. The Goodyear Eagle F1 tires are sized 245/35R20 and 255/35R20
