With our subsidary in Switzerland, the Geneva Motor Show is kind of a home game for us, also in 2017.
In Switzerland, we have presented the full range of our innovations, which substantiates our pioneering role in the segment of individual coilovers and suspension solutions.
In the meantime, our exhibition stand is no longer located in the “exhibition basement” together with all the accessory specialists, which even surprised our buddy and SPEEDHUNTERS editor Larry Chen, but now we are located in the middle of hall 2. This hall is simply the ideal place to be, right next to the automobile industry and numerous super sports car manufactures, to show our innovations such as the KW coilovers Variant 4.
In Hall 2 for example, the Danish “Hypercar Forge” Zenvo from Denmark was our direct neighbor, which presented not only the new 1163 hp strong TS1 GT in double pack.
But also the TSR which the Danes were driving already more than 100.000 test kilometers at all kind of weather conditions in everyday life, on race tracks and even in the snow.
With the TSR, the Danish Hypercar manufacturer even traveled all the way to the Geneva Motor Show directly from Denmark, which is about 1.500 km, on its own four wheels.
The Hypercars from Zenvo are all equipped with our suspension technology and, in addition to their driving dynamics, they also convince with their high-quality processing.
From the Nürburgring Nordschleife to the street is the motto of the SCG003S. It is an improved development of the SCG003C “Competizione” racing car of the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus racing team, which is used in the endurance race and the 24h race.
Despite less power than the “003S”, the SCG003C is a force. Just click on the above YouTube video from the Evo magazine and turn on your speakers. By the way, besides the yellow variant, the “003C” is also available in black.
While in the VLN endurance races at the Nordschleife and the 24-hour race Nürburgring Nordschleife, the 003C (the black racing car) is equipped with a 3,5-liter V6-Honda-Biturbo with 530 hp – find out more about it here on our blog – but funnily still has a street legal, the 003S “Stradale” is equipped with a 800 hp strong 4,4-liter twin-turbo V8.
The picture above is not a study vehicle with “rocket drive” and our suspension, but it is a hybrid Hypercar with more than 1300 hp which is ready to go into series production!
The three-seater REN of Techrules from China, manufactured and developed by L.M. Gianetti, has six electric motors and the turbine drive works as a range extender and for voltage production. With 80 liters Diesel, the Hypercar is supposed to reach a distance of more than 1000 km.
Our KW suspension developments have long been used by numerous automobile manufacturers for their most demanding vehicles, and we are not only supplying applications for super sports cars, sports cars or hypercars.
For example, we supported Mercedes in the development of the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet that is limited to 99 pieces. The special feature of the G 650 is its portal axles with a ground clearance of 45 cm, which allow excellent off-road qualities even in the most difficult terrain.
Unlike to conventional beam axles, the wheels of the G 650 Landaulet are not located at the center of the axle, but are much lower on the axle heads through the portal gear. Adaptive dampers are used in the new Maybach off-road convertible.
Also the Brabus 550 Adventure 4×4² with its adaptive Brabus special suspension feature portal axes.
When Brabus names an off-road vehicle “Adventure”, the car is well prepared for any adventure. And if the enthusiastic off-road fan wants to return quickly to civilization fields, the 550 hp strong Biturbo V8 accelerates the Brabus 4×4² to a speed of 100.
No off-road temples and no hypercars, but still supercars are for years the creations of our long-time customer and partner MTM. Manager Roland Mayer already earned his spurs at Audi in the early 1980s and has been convincing with his sporty vehicles for almost 30 years.
No one is faster – currently at MTM! The Audi R8 V10 plus received a powerful compressor upgrade from MTM to get 802 hp. In addition, numerous MTM carbon aerodynamic components provide more output, while the MTM coilover springs optically emphasize the 20-inch MTM Bimoto forging wheel set with its Michelin Pilot Sport 45 tires.
Also beyond the series are always the BMW developments of AC Schnitzer. In Geneva, the refiner was celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special tuning program: the ACL2S conversion is an extensive conversion for the BMW M240i and is only available in a limited number of 30 kits.
The tuning small series is a tribute to the ACL2 with M4 engine presented by AC Schnitzer in 2016. In addition to an increase in performance to 400 hp, extensive aerodynamic accessories and much more, the ACLS2 conversion also includes a coilover kit that is adjustable in compression and rebound. AC Schnitzer optionally offers the possibility to extend the ACL2 tuning package with a Clubport coilover kit.
But also on our exhibition stand we presented a hot sports car: a GT4 Clubport MR on the basis of a Caymans 981. The 385 hp strong race car from Manthey Racing is built according to the SR0 GT4 specification.
The Cayman is equipped with a KW Competition 2A coilover kit with 2-way setting (18 clicks rebound damping, 14 clicks high-speed compression damping).
While we are positioned with KW on all world markets as the market leader of individual suspension solutions in terms of coilover kits in the top level, with ST suspensions, we offer a complete range in top quality in the middle price segment, which is interesting for many people.

But before we sit back and enjoy our “Swiss Chocolate”, we want to show you a picture of the Abt RS6+. The “Power-sedan” gained to 705 hp. With numerous carbon fiber parts, the aerodynamics was refined. The RS6+ seems even more bullish due to its 22-inch Abt Sport light-alloy rims and the Abt springs that are continuously adjustable in height. According to our colleagues, the Abt RS6+ in this version is limited to 50 pieces.
