The lull of motorsport’s winter break appears only for the motorsport fans – our colleagues from the KW Motorsport department are currently buzzing with activity. After all, the off-season is essentially the precursor to the upcoming season.

With our KW Racing shock absorbers, an increasing number of automotive manufacturers are equipping their race cars in various customer racing programs for circuit racing.

Across the globe, all BMW M4 GT3, BMW M4 GT4, Mercedes-AMG GT4, Porsche Cayman GT4 CS, Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), and Toyota GR Supra GT4 cars adhere to the regulations by featuring the respective two- and five-way adjustable KW dampers.

Our KW Racing dampers have been featured in numerous Porsche 911 GT3 race cars, and we are pleased to announce that we will soon be collaborating with another automotive manufacturer to provide our dampers for their GT3 and GT4 customer racing vehicles. These dampers are manufactured in our Fichtenberg facility.
Given our motorsport customers’ proven track record of success, it’s no surprise they clinched the season’s first overall victory last weekend.

As part of the “24h Series” presented by Hankook, “Car Collection Motorsport” emerged victorious on January 21, 2024. On the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Dustin Blattner, Loek Hartog, and Dennis Marschall piloted their Porsche 911 GT3 R (#96) across the finish line first.

Second in the overall standings was Baron Motorsport in the Ferrari 488 GT3 (#86), and third was Manamauri Energy by Ebimotors (Porsche 911 GT3 R, #95). Out of the 15 GT3 race cars that started, there were five Porsche 911 GT3 R and one BMW M4 GT3.

Out of the total five GT4 race cars that started, all teams used our KW Racing dampers. While the Mercedes-AMG GT4 by GPM by Dragon Racing did not finish the race, the BMW M4 GT4 and Toyota GR Supra GT4 reached the finish line.
