KW Development update: The KW DDC plug&play is now also available for the new Audi RS3!

We have already developed several suspension options for the new Audi RS3 (GY). In addition to our height-adjustable springs and the KW V3 coilover suspension (also known as KW Variant 3), for the first time an electronically adjustable KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension kit is available for both Audi RS3 sedan and Audi RS3 Sportback!

Though it gets even better: the adaptive KW DDC plug & play coilovers are now available for current Audi models such as Audi Q3 (F3), Audi RSQ3 (F3), and Audi S3 (GY).

On other Audi models, such as the Audi TT RS or Audi RS4, our adaptive coilovers could only be retrofitted in the “DDC-ECU” version with a suspension control unit and vehicle-specific KW DDC wiring harness.

Because in that period Audi was one of the few car manufacturers that still relied on the so-called “magnetic ride technology” for their adaptive suspension systems.

Audi has also changed to the DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) suspension technology established in the VAG Group for selected vehicles such as the new Audi RS3 (GY). The Dynamic Suspension Control uses valves instead of a magnetorheological damper fluid to adjust the shock absorber characteristics.

In contrast to our KW DDC ECU coilover suspension for other Audi vehicles, there is no need to retrofit suspension harnesses and a suspension control unit on Audi models with DCC. Our DDC plug&play coilover compatible with DCC is simply installed into the Audi RS3 just like any other KW coilover.

When converting to a KW DDC plug&play there is also no cable mess. The original Audi DCC suspension plugs get simply connected to the compatible plug connection of the KW DDC dampers. Done. The standard onboard electronics then recognize the adaptive coilover suspension right away.

The 400-hp RS3 with its charismatic five-cylinder turbo growl remains even more controllable during sporty driving thanks to the coilover suspension. The typical pitching and rolling movements of the body structure are significantly reduced.

As you can see in the pictures, the KW DDC plug & play coilover kit gives the 2022 Audi RS3 a nice looking performance stance with a drop of 45 millimeters.

The same lowering range as the KW DDC plug&play kit also has our manual adjustable KW V3 coilover suspension (KW Variant 3), which we already had developed for the Audi RS3 (GY).

At the front axle, the stepless and approved lowering range is 20 to 40 millimeters. In conjunction with a fancy set of wheels, the stance looks really awesome.

At the rear, the KW DDC plug&play and KW V3 coilover suspension for the Audi RS3 can be adjusted from 25 to 45 millimeters via the rear axle height adjustment. Even at this depth you still have optimum residual spring travel. Even in case you are driving fast with the maximum permitted weight, you still have plenty of safety reserve.

Some people really don’t want a maximum stance and are more devoted towards a decent lowering. Exactly for this requirement we have developed our height-adjustable spring sets or KW coil springs, which are also available for the Audi RS3.

In conjunction with the standard suspension, the height-adjustable spring kit allows stepless lowering of 0 to 20 millimeters at the current Audi RS3.
